▪ Brand Identity We personalize ready-made products to create unique objects, infusing our products with your lifestyle and identity. ▪ Handmade Craft Each perfume bottle is made slightly differently by our glass artisans, and every hand-sanded lid has its own distinct lines, giving it the contradictory specialness of a one-of-a-kind off-the-shelf product. ▪ Aimez-vous bergamote... Aimez-vous bergamote... is a scent inspired by François Sagan's novel Aimez-vous bergamote.... In fact, the name itself may sound a little unusual. However, we wanted to maximize the mood of the title of Sagan's book, “Aimez-vous Brahms...”, so we named it that way. I believe Sagan wouldn’t have worried about the awkwardness—she would have simply written what she wanted to write. It's an unusual combination of citrus and leather, but somehow it turned out to be something that everyone liked. Creating this scent reminded me of Sagan, who was rebellious but loved so much because of it. Sometimes, the most beautiful things arise from the unexpected. Beauty that emerges without intention is perhaps even more beloved, much like nature, which blooms effortlessly, without purpose. Among her writings are these words. “I have the right to destroy myself, as long as I don't harm others.” You don't have to destroy yourself completely, but if you want something, I hope you don't mind if you break a little. Like the waves on the shore and the breeze in the fields. That attitude is like spring, allowing your true self to bloom one day. How beautiful it is that in this wandering universe, we've met in writing and scent, and when we smell it, we love coincidence a little more. |
▪ Top Notes: Fresh citrus notes meet warm and subtle spicy notes ▪ Middle Notes: Rich white floral accords ▪ Base Notes: A harmoniously dry blend of warm woody and smoky leathery notes ▪ Main Ingredient: Bergamot from the citrus family (bergamot, lemon, mandarin, orange, etc.) ▪ Origin: Southern Italy (It is mainly used as a top note due to its short duration of fragrance.) ▪ Extraction Method: Cold pressed (cold expression) ▪ Harvesting Method: Grown on the bergamot tree, the fruit is a citrus fruit that is initially green and then yellow in color, weighing 80-200 grams on average. Bergamot fruits are harvested by hand because they are very sensitive. The harvesting period starts in November and lasts until the end of January. Once harvested, the berries are kept heated for 2-3 days to soften their rind. After that, they are placed in a blender to extract the essential oils. The blender works by pricking the peel with a needle, causing the essential oil and peel debris to fall out. These two parts are then transported to a centrifuge to separate the oil and peel debris. Once this process is complete, the essential oil is obtained. The yield is about 0.5%, and extraction with volatile solvents can yield 4%. The essential oil is refined to remove the *photosensitizing bergapten. The quality of the oil varies depending on the month of harvest. November yields a more floral oil with more linalool, while January yields a fresher quality with less linalyl acetate.*Photosensitivity: the property of plant organs to open, bake, or unfold when stimulated by intensity of light. Opening and closing of flowers, turgor movement. ▪ Main Components D-Limonene: 30-45% linalyl acetate: 3-5% Linalool : 3-15% |
