▪ Aimez-vous bergamote... Aimez-vous Bergamote is inspired by Françoise Sagan's novel <Aimez-vous Brahms….> The title may seem slightly unconventional, but it was chosen to capture the essence and mood of Sagan’s work. Aimez-vous bergamote... is a fragrance inspired by François Sagan's novel <Aimez-vous Brahms….>. The name is actually a bit of a misnomer. However, we wanted to maximize the mood of the title of Sagan's book, “Aimez-vous Brahms...”, so we named it that way. I felt that Sagan would have written what he wanted to write, not caring about the awkwardness of the title. The scent is made of two unorthodox combinations of citrus and leather, but somehow ended up in a form that was loved by everyone. The scent was anti-climactic, but it was also very much like Sagan, who was loved because of it. Sometimes there are beautiful coincidences that arrive because they are off the beaten path. Beauty that is created without intention seems to be loved more because it resembles nature, which blooms without purpose. There's a saying in the Book of the Four Rivers. “I have the right to destroy myself, as long as I don't harm others.” You don't have to destroy yourself completely, but if you want something, I hope you don't mind if you break a little. Like the waves on the shore and the breeze in the fields. That attitude resembles spring, which will one day allow your true self to bloom. How beautiful it is that in this wandering universe, we've met in writing and scent, and when we smell it, we love serendipity a little more. ▪ Rose Fumée Inspired by Paul Valéry's poem Le vin perdu, Rose Fumée captures the essence of a powerful and captivating rose scent, just as its name, “Rose-colored Mist,” suggests. This fragrance was created to embody the sensuality found in those who have achieved success and exude a magnetic allure. As described in the poem, a few precious drops of wine tossed into the vast ocean release a deep rose-colored mist, only to vanish, allowing the sea to regain its original transparency. This symbolizes how even the most intense and profound moments in life, no matter how powerful, eventually fade and disappear with time. Yet, Rose Fumée seeks to capture the fleeting beauty and passion within this transience. Even if only for a moment, the experience of a new wave born from the wine spilled into the sea allows us to dream again, and that alone is truly worthwhile. Our desires, dreams, and hopes may all vanish like the wine poured into the sea, but the intensity of those moments gives us the strength to live. Rose Fumée expresses this very attitude towards life. A passion that leaps forward, knowing it will disappear — this beautiful paradox is embodied in the fragrance. Through this scent, we wish to show the rose-colored brilliance of a moment that is beautiful precisely because it fades away. ▪ Les Feuilles mortes The fragrance of Les Feuilles mortes is inspired by a line from Albert Camus’ play The Misunderstanding: "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." This is a season filled with autumn leaves, which are the colorful petals of autumn’s vibrant, warm air. It is a fragrance that gently hands over the warmth of fully bloomed autumn, evoking the spirit of this season. The fragrance has two names: one of them, Les Feuilles mortes, translates to "Dead Leaves," a name derived from the poem of Jacques Prévert and the famous song Les Feuilles mortes by Yves Montand. We recommend listening to the English version, Autumn Leaves, performed by Nat King Cole, where the atmosphere of the fragrance perfectly blends with the music. Autumn is a season full of bittersweet pleasures—the crisp air that offers just the right chill, the loneliness brought by the temperature drop, and the emptiness felt as leaves fall like the setting sun over the horizon. The brown longing that cannot be defined always fills autumn. This type of melancholy, emptiness, and longing are the pain of autumn that can still be enjoyed. Just like how autumn days are warmed by the sun but cooled by the night, this fragrance arrives in different ways—sometimes gently, and other times with a hint of sadness. ▪ Le rêve vert Le rêve vert is inspired by the poem "Sensation" by Rimbaud. "On blue summer evenings, I shall go down the paths, Getting pricked by the corn, crushing the short grass: In a dream I shall feel its coolness on my feet. I shall let the wind bathe my bare head." In these verses, we envision the poet walking through green grass on a blue summer evening at sunset, as if dreaming a free, green dream. This fragrance is like an oil painting built up through multiple layers, with fruit colors subtly hidden beneath green pigment. Traces of dark red cassis berries and bright red tomatoes. Fragrance is a time-defying machine. Le rêve vert is a liquid machine, measured in ml, that conjures memories of running through meadows on a blue summer day, with fruit juices springing up beneath your feet, and the clean, sweet air of a summer day—even memories of days you've never actually experienced. We've created a scent with quiet sharpness by mixing a few drops of the dreamer's rebellious spirit beneath the vibrant, youthful color of green, making it more than just a pleasant green dream.
